About Mrs. Vincent

My name is Darcy Vincent, and I am part of the 5th grade black team at Camelot Intermediate School. I will teach Math on our MCL team during the 2019-2020 school year. This will be my twelfth year teaching, and my fifth year teaching in Brookings. I look forward to learning with your children.

I am a 2006 graduate of Dakota State University.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with Endorsements in K-12 technology, 5-8 Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and assistant coaching.

I graduated in August 2015 with my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an endorsement as a Math Specialist from Black Hills State. During my coursework for my Master's degree, I served as a teacher leader for SD Counts in mathematics. SD Counts is a professional development program for elementary teachers to gain expertise in an ever-changing math world.

I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my sons. Hudson is 7 years old, and Hunter is 4 years old. Hudson is a 2nd grader at Dakota Prairie this year and demonstrates his love for learning everyday. Hunter is in the 4/5 year old class at Gracepoint Preschool. I enjoy watching football (Go Vikings!), running, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

I grew up in Brookings where I graduated BHS in 2001. I met my wonderful husband, Jamie, while teaching in Arlington. We were married in 2010, and six years ago we moved back to Brookings.
